Lars Helge Øverland has been the lead developer of the DHIS2 platform since its start in 2005. He has been responsible for designing and implementing the DHIS2 software as well as building up the development team which today produces the DHIS2 standard releases. Lars has worked as a consultant for multiple major development organizations, including WHO, USAID, DANIDA, NORAD and MSH, and is leading the software development process for the global PEPFAR reporting system. He holds a Master of Informatics degree from the University of Oslo.

Augmenting DHIS2 with Commercial Software

DHIS2 as an open-source product has had incredible success across the development sector. However, no one software can be everything for everyone. In this panel, we’ll look at three different use cases to show how various organizations have augmented open-source DHIS2 with a commercial software, and why this approach can provide best in class solutions for a variety of use cases.
